North Heron Island Reef Crest - Coral Rubble Communities

A. glabra were part of coral rubble communities. Due to the extreme diversity found on the boulders and the limited space available, it can be assumed that A. glabra was competing with a great variety of sedentary plant and animal species such as algae, sponges, bryozoans, corals and other ascidians.
Different close associations were also observed:
A bryozoan growing on A. glabra adult.
